Before you visit us, please be aware of the following...

Call before you come to ensure there are berries available

Field Conditions
We use straw mulch creating a clean environment for both pickers and berries. Wear weather appropriate footwear and clothing.

We recommend a cooler and ice packs to transport your berries in.

Containers for picking
Bring your own container - any size or shape can be used, let us see them first so we can get a tare weight if necessary - 4 liter ice cream pails are ideal. We also have containers available for purchase.

Sun and Bugs
Consider bringing a hat, sunscreen and mosquito repellent.

Follow instructions
Please respect our property and follow signs and verbal instructions.

Keep pets in parking area on a leash or in vehicle, please clean up after them.

Tips for picking strawberries

→ Handle strawberries gently, at all times, whether you are picking them, placing them in the container, or handling the filled containers.

→ Part the leaves with your hands to look for hidden berries ready for harvest.

→ Pick only the berries that are fully red, regardless of size.

→ It helps us and future customers if you pick rotten and damaged berries and leave them on the straw between the rows.

→ Pick berries with stem caps on.

→ Don't overfill your containers or try to pack the berries down.

→ Be careful that your feet and knees do not damage plants or fruit in or along the edge of the row.

→ It is important that you pick only on the row assigned to you.

→ Cool berries last longer, if you plan to pick more than 1 pail and it is hot out, ask about space in our refrigerators.

If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to ask one of our staff.
